Welcome, I’m Angela!

I look forward to working with you on your yoga and mindfulness journey whether you are new or have experience. We come from different walks of life, yet need to take care of ourselves just the same.
I have been hooked on doing yoga for over 20 years and have experienced the amazing benefits it has to offer. I’m a military veteran (Go Air Force!) who has experience in the medical, mental health, and fitness professions. I am a Registered Yoga Teacher/RYT 200 and group fitness instructor. Yoga has helped me get through some life challenges and it is my goal to help others learn the benefits of a consistent yoga practice, despite a busy schedule. Using your breath and movement to connect with the mind, are key to yoga AND living a healthy life. This allows for self-connection. A few years ago I was fortunate to have met and been treated by a holistic doctor of oriental medicine who helped me better understand my menstrual cycle and overall health. Yes, I just said menstrual or period health out loud! Women’s health, our experiences, and the stages we go through are important to be talked about. This experience is a good reminder that paying attention to and addressing personal needs can help make a shift to improved living. I at times struggle with putting myself first. A reminder and encouragement to do consistent self-care (yoga and mindfulness) means I will be the best version of myself for myself and others. When I am not doing yoga, I enjoy time with my beautiful family, friends, and my sweet dog. I also like doing varied forms of exercise, journaling, listening to music, and eating most healthy foods.
Inhale, Exhale, Move, and Let Loose.
Passing on yoga and mindfulness to you means providing you tools, to improve your mental and physical health from the comfort of your home. You can decide what classes, poses, and products work best for you to help make your journey smoother. You can also decide the time and space to honor yourself with a self-care routine. Practices you learn on the mat can easily be used off of the mat in your daily life, too. Imagine moving about with more flexibility and clarity.
You will hear me say “Inhale, exhale, move, and let loose.” This means as you intentionally inhale and exhale it allows you to be more present as you move from pose to pose which allows you to let loose (physically of course!…and spiritually) to be your authentic self. Even though your health is to be taken seriously, I encourage you to have fun when doing yoga. To inhale, exhale, move, and let loose also relates to moments of stillness. Being still relates to this saying as it encourages you to be intentional with your breath to relax.
